Silver Falls State Park, Oregon – South Falls

Last week our family took one of our week long camping trips, but what my wife didn't bother to tell me is we had no internet service there. Despite that, I think I have come up with some amazing photos of the falls to show you.

Silver Fall State Park is located just outside Silverton and is one of the most beautiful parks in Oregon. As you can see from the photos below the South Falls are some of the most beautiful in the world.

This picture was taken from behind the falls

For more information on the falls you can head to the South Falls Lodge. They have loads of information for you.

From the main parking area you have about a ½ mile hike to the South Falls where you can even stand behind the falls. The first 2/10 of a mile is flat from the parking lot and the next 2/10 of a mile is down a very steep hill. (No dogs allowed.) Now you have done the easy part, getting to the falls. Getting back to your car is the hard part. The 2/10 back up the hill is a very tough climb and if you are even remotely out of shape, I suggest you work out for a couple months before you head to Silver Falls State Park.
