Living Beaverton - Your guide to everything Beaverton

It maybe raining, but when it rains it pours. (Pours a great deal that is!)

In Beaverton over the past month it has rained and rained a lot! The fact is we had 30 days in a row of rain and that took a toll on real estate. HOW? Well, it seems buyers wanted to stay in and not look at homes. Were they afraid they were going to melt if they got wet? Who knows!

Singing in the rain (Buying a home in Beaverton, Oregon)

But, for the buyers who did venture out, they were able to find some great deals. WHY? The main reason is sellers were noticing less activity as well and because of that they were considering offers they wouldn’t have two months ago.

I had 5 buyers this last month find some amazing deals and the sellers not only took less than list price, but also paid closing costs and even home warranties on the homes. Had one owner that even paid for the home inspection to get it sold!

So, if you are in the market for a new home in the Beaverton, Oregon area, don’t stay in when it’s raining, go out and get yourself a deal. Because in Oregon, when it rains, it pours, might as well go out in it with a smile.
