Have
you ever had one of
those listings that you work and work and work some more, but you swear
that
underneath that listing is a Indian Burial ground?
Well, I have one of
those
listings and it is from a past client. They wanted to price it right,
so I took
the listing.
Well, that was where
things started to go bad…
quickly. It
was nothing my
clients did, it was just this house. Talking to neighbors, they say
this house
that is only 12 years old has lived the life of a house 75 years older.
You
see, my clients were starting to get to the point that they were
going to
get behind on their payments,
but instead of just letting that happen,
they
decided to sell it and take their local trucking company national so
they could
make more money. If they did that, they would no longer need the home,
they
would live out of their truck.
They
cleaned up the property, got everything moved out and priced the
home
great. We were getting
showings and then it happened, some teenage kids
broke
in and had a weekend party. (I would like to say this is the first time
this
has happened at this home, but nope, this has happened before during
one of the
other six times this home has been listed in the last 12 years.)
Now,
you’d think this would be bad enough, but we still
managed to get three
offers on the property when we lowered the price to reflect the now
damaged
house. All was going good
until, low and behold, the bank, as they were
about
to accept one of the offers, finds a lien on the property from a
judgment
against the owner’s son, who is over 18, and has never lived
in that house…
WHAT?

Continue
on thru today when I get another call from a showing agent and
guess
what… Another party happened
over the weekend and the door
was wide open and
beer cans were everywhere. Now, I can’t watch this house
24/7, but you would
think the county police officer that lives two doors away, or the state
police
officer that lives 8 houses down would notice all the traffic at a
vacant home,
but nope, I guess not.
So, does anyone know how to look up to see what is under this house that is causing all this bad Karma on it?

Hi Todd. Definitely it seems there is a black cloud over this one. Geez. What does it take to get some good luck shined on this property? Good luck with it somehow.
Very odd. The word must be out among local teens but that's strange.
BTW - love seeing the plate back (no offense to your family). There's something very appealing about your willingness to be different. I love that image.
Poor sellers! That house does sound like it has some bad mojo going on! I like the plate back like Linsey!
Todd- First of all, what happened to your lovely photo of you with your family?
Second, call Carole in New York, Feng Shui consultant. You need to do a sage clearing in that house to get rid of whatever is attracting this mess to this house.
Oh man....I don't think you will ever be able to discover what happened to this house to cause such crazy Karma!!! Best of luck and I hope you find a seller soon! Maybe one of the teenagers are ready to move out of their parents house...first time buyers are getting a really nice tax credit right now . Think how much beer could you buy with $8000! =)
And...you know what I am about to say... I love the seeing the home plate back! Is it back for baseball season only? It is one of my favorite images on AR!
Gary - I have no idea, but I'm ready to have the 7th agent take it that is for sure!
Linsey - I'm glad you enjoy the home plate, this is a test, just like the other ones were.
Cristal - Wow, that isn't the response I was expecting on the home plate, but OK.
Katerina - This is a test and only a test... We will see what the results are and find out what photos stays and what photo goes. Can she fix a house over the phone?
Terrie - FAVORITE IMAGES? WOW, That really says a lot! I may have to call some of those teenagers as long as they are 18 and see if they want to buy it. They know the cops don't care!
Ok its Monday. Im will be watching for post updates today. Some houses just dont do well period. It seems they are haunted or just unlucky.
Todd, How is the seller's insurance company behaving in all of this? Has there been enough in damages for the sellers to make a claim? Either way you've got a challenge on your hands. Good Luck.
Todd...A string of bad luck has befallen this one my friend, have you called the neighbors to keep an eye on the place maybe one has a friend that would like to be a neighbor.
Laura - I've written the post, got it ready, but just waiting for one little thing before I can announce everything to the world.
Barb - Yes, there have been enough damages, but they are denying the claim because they moved out and left it vacant.
Steve - Have you seen the sign floating around that says "I'm selling because my neighbor is an __________" that is this situation. Out of 25 homes on this street, 7 are in foreclosure, 7 are rentals, not good numbers.
Todd - well that sucks for both the owners and for you. Perhaps a security system might help, at least the police might come and bust up any parties. And, it could be a selling tool.
Todd...
First you need some eye on Newt, then you have to rub your stomach and turn in circles and chant....Sell, sell, sell, sell!
I believe in Karma and toss coins to make every major decision in my life. It seems to work for me :)
Did someone say Beer? :)
TLW...ROAR!
Todd that is just crazy...I would go knock on the police persons door and tell them to watch the house for you....it is there job...and I'm sure that they would....peace zane
Geeze, Todd, these folks must have amassed some really bad house Karma in a past life! Maybe they did somebody wrong - pillaged a castle or cheated someone in a property transaction. I hope you get them to settlement!
I wish I knew where the bad karma was. I thought it followed me so I guess it is nice to know that others have it too.
Shelton
Mike - There is an idea, I may just have to suggest that!
Richard - Ok, I'll do that, I'll try anything at this point!
Billie - Glad to see you are back home and back in fine form... Beer at 9am? Oh, wait is Florida and spring break is here.
Zane - They are off duty, they don't have to do anything! I've already asked the police department about that.
Patricia - I wish it was just these people, it is this house. I've talked to other agents about this house and they have their own horror stories about it.
Shelton - Promise this house has it and has it bad!
Todd --- this is how I felt about my office recently when I had so much serious illness at one time - a heart stint, a quadruple by-pass, a double by-pass, & Stomach cancer all at one time. I wanted to call in the witches or something to get rid of the karma.
I have a house where a hmong woman came into the house and asked "who died here?" The realtor said no one. She said that she could feel it in her spirit and b/c of that the Hmong people can't buy a home where someone died. She knew that the realtor was lying. The owners just wanted to sell, but we couldn't pick the house up and show that there were no graves under the house either.
Mama Liz - Wow, that is way too much for one office? How many agents do you have?
Larry - Not much you can do if neither of you have the proof for the other on that one. (Hoffa?)
