Beaverton Oregon Parks: Wildhorse Park in the Greenway Neighborhood

Wildhorse Park is what the City of Beaverton calls a mini park. A mini park is a park that is nothing more than a small greenspace where they have put park benches, playground equipment, or something to improve the community.

Wildhorse Park is located off Davies Road in the Greenway neighborhood of Beaverton.
Even though it’s a mini park, the playground equipment is big enough that a family can spend 30 – 45 minutes playing without getting board.

The only drawback that my family found with this park is that there are no trees to shade you from the sun, so if it is a hot day, you will not be able to escape the sun and will over heat rather quickly. You will need to bring your own water, since there is no drinking fountain and as the kids start to play hard after about 15 minutes they will start to complain about being thirsty. With thirst comes bathroom requests, and being a mini park, it does become time to leave for home to use the restrooms.

If you are looking for a park just to get some wiggles out of your little ones, then this is the park for you, if you are looking for something a bigger with lots more to do, then I suggest you head to Greenway Park. That is only about half mile away and has so much more to offer the entire family.

Mama Liz - For small kids it is just fine, but for my older ones they got board real quick.

Jeannette - During this time of year we only get a few days to go, so we take them when we can get them... Maybe more this summer. (LOL)

Fran - The street names around this park are all like, saddle, trigger and other wonderful horse related topics. (LOL)

Looks like a great place for parents to bring the kids to get rid of some energy.
