This
is one question I get
asked a lot from people wanting to relocate to Beaverton, Oregon.
“Do I
need
money down to buy my first home in Beaverton Oregon?” The basic and
simple answer
is yes. However, then there is always that… BUT!
The “BUT” of the
question, is that you do, “BUT” you can drive about an
extra
10 minutes and get outside the urban growth boundary and still buy with
100%
financing. If you work in downtown Portland, your drive
will only be
about 30
minutes between the hours of 6am-8am. Heck it can take that long from
the
center of Beaverton with traffic lights.
So,
if you are interested in
buying your first home, with no money down, I
invite you to give me a
call. I
can show you some areas just outside the urban growth boundary that
aren’t in
Beaverton, but not as far away as you might think.
Another “BUT” to the
question is if you are a veteran, you can still
buy homes
in Beaverton with no money down. There certainly are some
great deals
to be had
here with record low interest rates and home prices the lowest they
have been
in about 2 years.
So, give me a call if you
are looking for that first home in Beaverton,
or the
surrounding areas, and I would love to help your family home.

I know many buyers will drive that 10 minutes and the savings will more than pay for that extra fuel... Good job Todd...
Rural homes are big here in the Pacific Northwest, huh? I work a lot of those deals - more now than ever. Besides, here in Bellingham, the father out you go, the better the views are. So it really is a win-win I think. Good work for your clients, Todd. How's that new office treating you? Cheers,
This is a good post. Many buyers donot know about the programs.
And if its your first home uncle Sam will kick you in 8K. You must be busy lately I haven't seen as many post as normal.
Todd, I think a lot of buyers think that no money down loans are gone but that is not the case here either.
Paul - 10 minutes is not that long if you consider that it may mean the difference between owning a home and not owning a home.
Amy - I am loving the new office, they are so supportive and business is starting to move because of the support. They will step in and do some of my work for free if I start to get overwhelmed on one day and then I can help them on the opposite days.
Gita - It is mainly because everyone focuses on those that are immediately available for the local area, they don't care to learn about the loans that are a little more out of the ordinary.
Laura - I know! Imagine no money out of pocket to move in, then money in pocket to live there from the government.
Barb - There are certainly a few left, we just need to educate our clients of what is out there.
