Summercrest
East is just one
of the strip parks along Beaverton that follow the power lines through
Beaverton. But this particular park is part of the series
of four
parks, three
which make a long strip along the power lines and Summercrest
Park heads off to the west of the strip. The other two parks
in the strip
are Hart
Meadows Park and Burtwood Park, making one gigantic park,
which is great
for exercising and just spending the day.
There are no bathrooms or picnic tables in the park, so you will need to bring something to sit upon if you are planning an afternoon picnic. (A little secret though, instead of heading home to use the restroom, during baseball season, there is an outhouse just down the street on Rigert at the baseball fields on the corner of 155th and Rigert. Its about a 2 minute walk from the park.)
