Beaverton Oregon Parks: Summercrest East Park (In the Hart neighborhood of Beaverton Oregon)

Summercrest East is just one of the strip parks along Beaverton that follow the power lines through Beaverton. But this particular park is part of the series of four parks, three which make a long strip along the power lines and Summercrest Park heads off to the west of the strip. The other two parks in the strip are Hart Meadows Park and Burtwood Park, making one gigantic park, which is great for exercising and just spending the day.

Toward the middle of the park there are two tennis courts for you to get some exercise at, if you like tennis, or if you don’t, the trails can be used for either running or walking. There are no actual trails in Summercrest East, but once you cross over in the Hart Meadows Park, there are trails there that connect with Summercrest Park and Burtwood Parks.

There are no bathrooms or picnic tables in the park, so you will need to bring something to sit upon if you are planning an afternoon picnic. (A little secret though, instead of heading home to use the restroom, during baseball season, there is an outhouse just down the street on Rigert at the baseball fields on the corner of 155th and Rigert. Its about a 2 minute walk from the park.)

I hope you enjoy and if you want to know more about relocating to Beaverton, Oregon, don’t hesitate to call or e-mail me anything for more information on the area.

Todd- There are beautiful parks in Oregon. There are also awesome campgrounds in Oregon too. I remember camping a lot there.

I find even the locals aren't aware of the local parks. Good info for everyone.
