Beaverton Oregon Parks: Burntwood Park in the Hart Neighborhood of Beaverton Oregon

Burntwood is the last in the series of parks that goes from north to south through the Hart Neighborhood of Beaverton, Oregon, making one gigantic park for families, pets and individuals a like find something to do, be it walk, play with their dogs, or just watch their kids play on the equipment. The four parks in the series are, Summercrest Park, Hart Meadows Park, Summercrest East Park and then Burntwood.

Burntwood Park didn’t seem to have any playground equipment, bathrooms, or walking paths, but what I think would be enjoyable about this park is just sitting under the many trees and just daydreaming, or at night coming back and taking pictures of the city from the highest point of the park.

I saw many signs of dogs, like lost balls and even a collar or two, that were clearly lost while playing hard with their owners. But, I think this series of parks was a good use of land that was unusable by builders because of the overheard power lines. If you are in Beaverton, Oregon, and are looking for a place to exercise, I suggest you check out these parks. They are well worth you and your family’s time.

Good use of land that would just get overgrown and useless with out the parks department.

Sounds like the perfect place to bring a book or guitar and sit and "do nothing"!

I'm with Steve....I used to bring my guitar....that would be the place provided there are no mosquitos.

Hi Todd, The Portland area has a lot of beautiful parks and, Larry, I have never encountered a mosquito in any of them.

Todd --- I think my favorite of your parks is the Hart Meadows one --- seemed to quiet & peaceful.
