Living Beaverton - Your guide to everything Beaverton

I love Whispering Woods. This park is part of the amazing parks system in the Beaverton area. This park was within walking distance of my last home and for some reason, despite it not having any playground equipment, this was a favorite of the neighborhood kids and mine.

This little park has some great walking paths, bridges, and even a picnic table for you to sit at and have a quiet lunch by yourself. As you can gather from the name, it is a very wooded park and completely in the shade. This is something that appeals to me very much during the summer months, as I’m not a big fan of the heat.

Now, this is a park you pretty much have to walk to as there is no parking anywhere close to the park that I know of. We always just walked to it from home, which gave us some great exercise and excuse to go out as a family.

If you are in the Lexington neighborhood, I suggest you check out this little hidden gem. It really is a great little park. But, unless you know it is there, you would drive right by it. (The sign is actually hidden from the street and you have to go into the park to see the sign.)
