Beaverton is full of many great parks and Sexton Mountain Park would be no exception, with a play structure, some sort of track for parent to exercise on and even a basket ball court.

But, there is one thing that Sexton Mountain Park lacks, and that is parking! There is NONE! So unless you live within walking distance of this park, don’t bother even driving to it, because the streets are very narrow and every one of them has a no parking sign.
I ended up not even taking my kids to this park because of the parking situation. I had to have my wife drop me off so I could get the pictures and then she came back 5 minutes later to pick me up after driving around the park to see if we were just missing a place to park.
So, if you live in the Sexton Mountain neighborhood, enjoy your park, but if you live farther than say a quarter mile, I would say skip this one and drive to Greenway Park.

Todd: If I were you... I would be very, very nice to your wife on the days she is going to drop you off at the park... to come back later and pick you up. If you rub her the wrong way... so to speak... she may just decide to leave you there. Take care...
Hi Todd... what a strange decision to not include some sort of parking opportunity for people who are area residents but don't live in walking distance. It looks like such a nice park.
That is really odd that there is no parking, but it sounds like a really nice park.
Todd,
Sounds like an HOA's community property funded by the tax payers!
There are allot of these here in Houston.

Todd - I used to live in the area (near 170th & Rigert). None of the parks, Stonemist, Summercrest, Heartwood, had any parking but street parking, but there was plenty of that.
Todd - Maybe they are being discriminatory and only want those in walking distance to go to the park. Was there any handicap parking? Hmmm, maybe you all should get naked and ride your bikes in protest around the park. LOL!
TC,
Hmmm...a park with insufficient parking...sounds like a ball field with no home plate...!!! Thanks, Fran
Karen, she was more worried that other parents would try to come to this park and that I should write the post for them. I was only in the park maybe 5 minutes. The next one I write about that was a little closer to our home was much better and we spent over an hour there and it had plenty of parking.
