What a long strange trip it’s been: But meeting long time friends is well worth it

Right now I’m sitting inside a nice air conditioned home, but yesterday just the drive to this home I thought I was going to die!
You see I’ve never been to the east coast, never seen the Atlantic ocean besides in pictures and I’ve also never experience humidity like this before in my life! That drive in the cab that didn’t have A/C was the most miserable drive I’ve ever taken in my life.

But, I’ve now been here in this great state almost 24 hours and have been enjoying the animal life, the sites, but the humidity… well not so much. Yesterday and today I’ve spent some time with my great friend, mentor, coach and just all around great guy George Paukert and his better half Arlene. (Sorry George, we know your secret)

Then today at 2pm I get to meet one of the greats on Activerain that has not only changed Activerain, but has helped change my life. You see 9 months ago, I made a call to Katerina Gasset and Terri Elis (Who I will meet in December) and asked them a bunch of questions about a life, marriage and religion and I made a big change in my life that has made my family even stronger than it already was.

Here are the photos from the trip there and a couple of the first animals I met. Look forward to sharing some pictures of my first trip to the Atlantic Ocean.

Todd - so I take it it's Florida - LOL - I actually miss the humidity and those little lizards :). Sounds like a great trip though... can't wait to hear more. ~Rita

Todd, I live in NYC and have come to love Florida. The first time I went there, got off the plane and could not believe the heat, thought I was breathing in steam (It was August) Glad you enjoyed your trip

So you ventured out of the Northwest... Have fun in Florida and I will be looking for your report on your summer vacation when you get back.

A little birdy mentioned you would be making a trip to Florida. Have a safe trip and try to stay inside as much as possible. Its gets pretty humid there, as you have noticed already.

Todd - It is a very HOT time of year to visit Florida. The humidity levels can be oppressive, but if you lived there, you would acclimate eventually.

Was this a family trip or a business trip? Either way, hope you enjoy it.

Todd

Sounds like you have taken to the air; I also am not one for heat when I need to look professional.

Todd,

All our best to George!

Katrina and Terri: "asked them a bunch of questions about a life, marriage and religion and I made a big change in my life that has made my family even stronger than it already was."  Then you added a pig to the family! That must have been some advice!

Have a good trip.

Enjoy your time in Floriday - it sounds lovely to me even thou it will be hot and humid.  Hoepfully no more big storms hit while you're there.  Take more pics of the little critters - fun!

Hey Todd ~ we are just across the border in Valdosta Georgia, we've had some rain here the past few days which makes it nice and humid when the sun make an appearance afterwards.

Hey Todd...be sure to let TLW and I know if you get near Central Florida. We about 25 minutes from Disney. Good thing it's a little cooler this week :)

Todd- What a great time! Thunderstorms, lightning, heat and all! I will blog about it later on. It was so much fun to meet you and give you a tour of Wellington mansions and ranches:) Remember those curly tail lizards are the bad guys. Katerina
