When I saw the field of pumpkins going what seemed like forever, I couldn't help but getting on their level and listening to them just yelling "Pick me, Pick me"

Love those pumpkins.... everyone wants a home...
We went up to Sonoma County to cycle with friends today. Saw a couple of very large pumpkin patches off the freeway. Quiet there early this morning, doing a land office business later this afternoon.
What fun! Makes me miss having kids in the house...boo-hoo!
Thanks for the reminder!!
My kids are already begging me to take them to our local pumpkin patch. I have to admit it's one of my favorite family outings. I think I enjoy it more than they do.
I love those pumpkins. There are loads of pumpkin pies, pumpkin loaf, pumpkin cookies and pumpkin souffle!! Yummy!!
How cool is that? It's something awesome. Love it. We're going next week!!!
Yes, we need to go too! Soon. We just went to a corn maze two nights ago. That was a blast. ~Rita
Was planning to go pick one today but played in the snow instead.
Hi Todd!

It looks just like the patch we are going to in a few weeks...can't wait!
Nice shot.... I'll bet each of those will have a home before long.
Todd -
Maybe its just the angle of your shot, but...
...those look nearly too big to be "picked".
Todd - There is a shortage of pumpkins here this year, because of all that rain we had in spring and a good part of summer. It would be a tough choice to pick one, they all look great for carving.
Todd,
That is one heck of a lot of pumpkins. They look great for carving too.

I would take the nice, clean one in the very center of the picture. Those are nice sized pumpkins! The ones I have been seeing around the Lafayette area this season all seem to be on the small side.
It is time to get out there and get some pumpkins!
I hope to do it this week!
your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!
Todd, yeah it is time to get some pumpkins. Now which one do I want to take home with me....
Is it already that time of year again Todd...
Without Mondays, the rest of the week wouldn't look so good,
Paul
Hi Todd...Some photo do not need words..this was one.
Cheers..hope to see you in Seattle Wednesday at Active Class :O))
Todd,
I am looking at your pumpkin patch picture and notice a disturbing trend...there are no vines. Don't any of these so called pumpkin patches grow their own pumpkins any more? For years I have been distubed by pumpkin patches that have more pumpkins on Friday than they did on Wednesday. But these patches at least started with growing pumpkins. Now these places are just throwing pumpkins out on the grass and wanting the kids to believe they grew there. My kids don't fall for the scam...do yours?
Todd - I love taking my kids to the local pumpkin patch. Great pic!
Nice BIG pumpkins this year~
I do have to say this shot was one of my favorites. But, this was just the field where they had all the pumpkins set out in a nice dry and not muddy area. They had over 2 acres of pumpkins, but it was so muddy, you probably would have never made it back to the car alive.
Hi Todd, OMG, those pumpkins are bigger than me. I would pick one.

Hi Todd - I'm still trying to convince our youngest to take a trip to the pumpkin patch/family farm. So far, the position is "I'm to old for that"...(sigh). Grateful to have your photo in the meantime.
Todd,
Nice title for your post. A great icon of fall - the pumpkin. Nice to see many of them assembled here. :)
Steve
Todd --- cannot believe that it is pumpkin time again -- those look like nice large ones.
Mama Liz
OK - I promise they aren't as big as they look. Maybe a foot round, it was the angle of the picture.
