Summer is over and though it has
been fun looking at guys like me playing basketball trying
to get our fix. It is now time for the NBA to start up again and the
Portland Trail Blazers start their season off again tonight again
against the Huston Rockets. Now I will be torn on the nights where the Blazers are on the same night as the World Series games, I will be watching the World Series then right back to my Portland Trail Blazers. We have a had a rough few years, but it looks like our players are healthy and I do have to say I think some other teams are worried. (Linda, are you nervous this year?)
So, don't try calling me tonight because it is the season opener and I won't be answering the phone. Instead I will be enjoying the game with my wife, mom and dad and all the kids! Hopefully I will be able to report tomorrow morning that we have our first win under our belt on our way to the finals!

Todd - My wife is not happy when basketball and football overlap. Thats a whole lotta TV for me. Portland has a decent team, but they are pretty young. They'll become better over time and will grow to a team you should be proud of.

Go Blazers I grew up in Vancouver and was there from 73-93 before I moved to Seattle... with the NBA stealing our team I am back in the fold...now that they are no longer the jailblazers.... :)
Enjoy the first few weeks of Piston mania in our area and it will calm as the season foes on.
Game one went great and we won, but I wish I could say the same about game two. Still a long season, so we will see how they do tonight.
