Beaverton Oregon Parks – Willow Creek Nature Park

Beaverton Oregon Parks – Willow Creek Nature Park - By Todd Clark

Are you looking for a little exercise and a place you can take the whole family? This is the park for you. This hiking trail is something you can have your kids bring their bike, scooter, or even roller skates, like our 5 year old did today, and not have to worry about them getting dirty no matter how much it has rained recently.

You see, Willow Creek Nature Park is walking path that is either paved or a wooden foot bridge the entire way. Not once did we get our feet dirty even though it had been raining for the past 5 days. (This made it pleasurable for me because I didn’t have to worry about cleaning out the car later.) It was mostly flat pretty much the entire way which makes for no complaints from the kids and the length it isn’t too long for those short, little legs either.

If you are looking to get out for a nice nature hike with the kids, then I suggest you check out this park as it is pretty good size yet still only takes about 30 minutes to walk from one end and back and has plenty of parking at one of the many entrances to the park.

I hope you enjoy this park as much and my family and I did.

Todd Oregon has some of the prettiest terrain in the country no doubt.  Walking is relaxing and good for the body and mind.

I need to walk a bit more and can always find a reason not to go . I can't find a good excuse here.

Looks like a great place for a little exercise and fun.  Thanks for pointing it out Todd.

My family and I really did enjoy this park and we have since found out that it looks like it connects with two other parks if we had taken a left or a right on some of the off shoot trails. (That will hopefully be confirmed on the next sunny day)
