Wordless Wednesday: The bond between kids and their pets

Athena and Nathaniel together as usual
I can't explain this bond between my son Nathaniel and our pig Athena. But, when ever he lays on the floor, Athena just has to become his pillow. If he leaves, she will get up set and wants to go with him. Got to love the bond between kids and their pets.

Todd, nice photo of your son Nathaniel and the pet pig Athena.  My lab, Zeke, follows me around ALL the time...and drives me a little crazy at times...but he is so sweet.  Pets just want to be right there with you all the time.

Well, I wan't expecting a pig. I hear they are great pets, but.....I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and if I added a pig, we'd become the crazy family on the block.

Todd

I always like to see a great relationship between pets and kids. That picture is great.

Todd why those are some handsome freckles your son is sportin' and the raven haired beauty has quite a cute snout! The companionship from a pet is priceless!

Todd - The pig seems to be warm and friendly, but the hair looks like is would rub the skin off.

Todd my dad grew up on a farm and his parents would not let him and his siblings become friendly with the pigs.  They had to eat the pigs for food.  My dad said pigs were like a dog.  Great picture.

Todd - Cute Picture!  Just last week my husband told me he wanted to get a pig because it would make a great pet, not sure how my HOA would feel about that.

Todd ---- this is a great photo -- you are right, nothing like the bond that is created between children and their pets.
