Book reviews by Kids for Kids - By Meesha Clark (Magyk - Book 1)

Magyk
Book 1
By Angie Sage

Magyk - Book 1I really enjoyed this book.  It was very suspenseful.  I could not keep my hands off of it!  It was about a boy whose name was Septimus Heap, he was stolen from his family the day he was born.  He was the seventh son of the seventh son.  That same night, his dad, Silas Heap, found a baby girl and named her Jenna.  He raised her like she was his own daughter.

On Jenna’s 10th birthday, Marcia (an extraordinary wizard) came by to the Heaps and told Jenna she was a princess.  Marcia takes Jenna to the castle, where they find a boy buried in the snow.  So they take him into the castle so he could warm up.  His name was Boy 412 and he was in the young army.  The young army is an army for kids.  The army does really mean things to the kids for tests to make sure they have only the best kids to work with.

Find out what adventures they have and what happened to Septimus and if Jenna gets captured.  I thought it was a wonderful book.  I hope you do too.

Meesha - I love books like these ... I read all 7 Harry Potter books at least twice.  I watched a movie called "The Seeker" which was also about the 7th son of a 7th son, have you watched it too?  Thanks for the book review, I'm going to check it out.

Meesha, good for you starting to read and write so young. Many kids today would rather watch TV or a movie than read. I'm glad to see you are an exception to that rule, it will make you a leader one day.
