The Mighty Tornadoes take 3rd place in Hillsboro Softball (U-12 Division)

I’m the proud father of Meesha, one of the Mighty Tornadoes players. As many of you know I’ve been coaching softball and baseball for 5 years now, this year I decided to take a break so I could see all my kids play and because of that my daughter needed to find a new team to play on.

Meesha Clark

Well she found a team with some new coaches to softball and a team with 5 players of the 12 that had never played the game before. But, what they lacked in knowledge and skill at the beginning of the year they made up for in heart and determination.

The Mighty Tornadoes

The Mighty Tornadoes played a great year and what some thought would be a 2 in 17 season ended up being a 16 and 3 season. Because of that they went in to the tournament this past 4 days and played their hearts out and ended up taking 3rd place. A feat that no one thought would be possible and I think the fact they wanted to prove everyone wrong, they did!

So congratulations girls and can’t wait to see you do it again next year and next year I see 1st place in your sights.

Todd they grow up so fast we need to spend time with them while they are interested in being around us still.  I spent a lot of my time taking my daughter to soccer games and really enjoyed it.  Now she is in college and we are still very close.  By the way how were those chips?

I love girls softball. My daughter won a state championship. My daughter in law won 2 state championships.

I miss it now that they are older. Congratulations for stepping up to coach for so long.

Meesha -

Way to go. Who knew you were a Black Tornado?  Sounds so ominous.

Todd - Congratulations to the Mighty Tornadoes.  I have coached very inexperienced soccer teams over the years, who lost the first few games, but by the end of the season they were winning.  The key is determination, good sportsmanship and working as a team.  If they get these factors anything is possible because the skill will follow.

Very nice Todd and Congrats to the team!  I miss softball so much, we spent a lot of weekends in Hillsboro at 16U and 18UTourneys with Kelsey. Its wonderful you can take the time to watch for a change!
