Sometimes one person really can make a difference and that is the case with Jim Cox the president of Beaverton’s JCI Marketing Group. You see, a few years ago Mr. Cox created a “Kid’s Kit” that helped parents create a kit that could be used by the police to help them find their child if the child should ever become lost or kidnapped.
Well, a couple weeks ago, Mr. Cox donated 1900 of these safety kits to the Beaverton Police to give away at events and other local happenings such as Child Seat safety checks, concerts in the park, the Beaverton Library and at the PAL (Beaverton Police Activity League) events.
So, thank you Jim Cox for being such a great citizen and helping make Beaverton, Oregon, a place that we are proud to call home.

It takes the Non Governmental organizations and individuals to step up and do the right thing. The government has to have a meeting about a meeting and lots of red tape to get anywhere. Mr. Cox obviously saw a need and made a plan and followed through with it. We need more people and organizations to get involved. Way to set an example of giving back to ones community.
