Sometimes mother nature just decides to give you a break...

Today while we were leaving the house, this is what we came out to see in our front yard. There was also a male and two other females, but this darling little girl wasn't going to be bothered by us today. I got within 15 feet of her while snapping shots and all she ever did was perk up her ears and look my way. She never did move her feet. I ended up take over 100 shots of her and was out there with her for 25 minutes before I decided I should let her be.
But, I did feel even with all my kids there (and they were) that I could have probably continued slowly enough that today she would have let me pet her. I've seen her almost everyday for the past couple months, but this is the closest she has let me get. I do love mother nature and today she decided to love me back. (or at least my camera)

Cheers
Wow what a break. She's beautiful.
Wow what a break. She's beautiful.
Oh my gosh, I can't believe she let you get that close! What a beautiful animal and it's pretty cool that you got to capture the shot.
What a GREAT way to start the day. And, a great way to teach your kids about nature. Thank you for sharing.
Todd - She is beautiful. It looks like she found a great little bed and good shade to take a very nice break. Lucky you!
Todd ... I like your beautiful photo image and sharing with us about what the Lord provided for you and your kids today, time near your home with the Bambi deer. Thanks.
Todd this is an amazing picture, she looks so graceful. I would love to see her in my yard.
Todd,
Thats a great picture. I to love nature, the elk in Estes Park, Colorado will do the same thing during mating season. It is quite a site.
Hi Todd, That was a great capture for you and the family to have such a good vantagepoint. Maybe she felt safe and at home there.
Todd,
That is a fantastic break of good luck. Glad you used it to good advantage. :)
Steve
That is a graet photo Todd! We live in an suburban area - but the wildlife abounds as I am near some wetlands.
Moments like that are so beautiful and really make you appreciate all life on earth! Wonderful photo! What a lovely animal!
Todd,
That is absolutely amazing.....very rarely are such moments caught so close up...she looks like she likes you and your family!
I think you may have found a friend Todd or a camera ham! She is just comfortable as can be, isn't she?!
Wow Todd, that is amazing that she stayed there just for you even after the others ran off. You must have the special touch. Bet the kids loved it!
This is an amazing shot! I have deer in my yard and they run as soon as I open the door usually!
