How could I not laugh and take this picture when on a major road. I saw this other agents sign hanging their and the post is being help together with duct tape and that isn’t even really doing the job! So, does your market have you sagging a little bit? It does for this agent!

Good Morning Todd,
Thanks for the post. Have a great day
Yes, that photo resembles my marketing of late, except instead of using duct tape, I'm all about hot glue.
Duct tape, bailing twine, hay wire....able to make average REALTORS shine brightly. And for the record, not every real estate market is sagging, dragging. Many are booming, most agents, brokers cruise the facilty, looking for slack, running pretty tight, efficient operations!
Thanks for the chuckle, Todd, and isn't it amazing how much paying attention to the details means? Even though it is an emotional reaction, it makes me think, " Ewwwww! Maybe there is something wrong with these lots. . ."
Hopefully the duct tape is a temporary fix as it creates beyond a poor first impression.
Todd, that's a testimonial in full view of who not to use to buy the property...unbelievable- they haven't heard of a nail & hammer? lol
I see signs all the time that need maintenance. I think it shows an agents lack of interest in the service they provide.
Todd...
That photo really says two things ... the market is slow and sign on busy streets are in peril!
c'mon agents.. you signage shouldn't oughta be saggin'.
Todd - In Canada, we had a Canadian produced television comedy series called the Red Green Show that ran from 1991 to 2006 on the national CBC network. It also ran on PBS in the USA. It frequently had sketches and other bits on how to use duct tape for a wide variety of things. Perhaps this agent enjoyed the Red Green Show.
Todd - That looks a little pathetic, I guess it's been there for a while.
OMG that says a lot about that broker, doesn't it? If they are skimping on their sign, what else are they doing?
Sad, but so often true to form...
Remember when Saturday was a day of rest too...
Paul
Hi Todd!

Oh, that's all kinds of sad. When was the last time that agent actually looked at his "Lot for Sale"? Maybe he didn't even remember that he had it listed!
Hi Todd, in CA, we use sign companies that put these posts up. I much prefer to own my own. The new White PVC posts are so much more attractive. These old wood posts should have long ago been retired. Sadly the public has to judge what they see and this one is really sad. Any broker that would even permit such things as this raises serious question about there business model.
I always wonder when I see signs like that...did they give up the listing and forget to take away the sign, or are they just really that SLACK???
Todd - Fresh as a clean hound's tooth. That's how it's done. Hard to project a winner on a crippled sign. Excellent point and powerful image to infect and affect. I'm off to re-inspect my signs. Thanks
It does make an impression.
Maybe, sloppy.
Maybe, broken-down.
Maybe the deatils don't matter.
Maybe the broker is crooked, too.
Bill
Oh wow, I have had days where I feel like that sign. Great picture, I'm sure the seller would not be impressed. hmmmnm
LOL, liked your caption and photo.
Todd - like the sign in your photo some markets could use some bailing wire, duct tape or other measn to prop them up.
The Good News is not all markets are like the sign in the picture
Make It A Great Year!!
A picture is worth 1000 words... say's a lot.
That is sooooooo funny ---- glad that it was not one of my agent-owners ---
Duct Tape Forever! Go Red Green! I do have to say this was one of the saddest pictures I've seen. Clearly this is an agent that should consider renting their signs because this just didn't show well!

Thats pretty pathetic. Spring thaw is rough on ours, we have to go back out and reprop. Often our sign man has to go back out a reinstall.
Todd -
This is a sign of the times I guess.
Oh dear. We just recently picked up a new post so we wouldn't be sagging or rusting.
Todd, I have to agree with the comments above, duck tape has its place but it should not be used for signs. The PVC sign posts are great with very little maintenance needed to keep them looking professional. I do not know about in your area but PBS here still shows the Red Green Show in the evenings.
