I had another
idea of
what to post on today when it came to
“From Todd’s Eyes” today, but yesterday afternoon that all
changed when it was
92 degrees here in the Portland area and I was at my brother’s place. I
got the
chance to go out in his 1916 Model T and enjoy the wind in my hair and
see a
lot of friendly people.

Now, one thing I’ve always noticed is people always will honk and flip people off if they are not going the speed limit in front of them, they always seem to be in a hurry. But, to most people, those rules don’t apply when they are behind an old car. Everyone seems to understand that the classics just couldn’t get up to today’s’ speed limits. It wasn’t as hurried of a life and people don’t seem to mind looking at the classics and don’t care that it can’t go 30 mph.
So, here are some pictures of each of my family members getting their ride in my brothers Model T as well as a picture while we were driving. I do have to admit I wanted to take more pictures while driving, but I was really enjoying the ride and I completely forgot I even had the camera and only took the one as we were leaving the driveway.

What a great looking classic car. Thanks for taking the time to sharing.
Its amazing how friendly people get when you drive a classic. Not so nice when you are in your regular car.
That's one sweet ride Todd! I just went to a classic car show here in Raleigh and all I can say is, they just don't make 'em like they used to.
And it looks like the day was just perfect for stepping back in time, Todd!
Very cool wheels...looks like agreat way to spend a lazy weekend day!
Todd,
This was fun!
The classic I long for is a '66 Dodge Charger, It will break the speed limits. 8:)
Bill
That looks like so much fun! I want a ride, I want a ride!!
Tonight is the last Beaches Cruise Night for the summer. Gonna be there?
Todd,
I love the last one....that is very cool.... ;)
Hi Todd...now that's a real classic. Nice photos :O)
In a car like that, it would be easy to forget that it was 92 degrees ... looks like a LOT of fun!
Todd - Awesome pictures and you are absolutely right when classics like this are on the road nobody seems to care how slow they go. In fact most of the time the other driver's slow down to look.
Todd now that looked like a good time. There is no doubt life was so much more simple years ago. I guess we have no one to blame but ourselves.
Was it fun to drive or was it challenging? Looks like everyone enjoyed taking a ride inthe covertible!
Hi Todd!

In my young years, B.D. (before driving), i always thought it would be fun to have a model t as my first car...until I realized it wasn't automatic transmission!
Okay, sorry, but 92 degres? You're a wimp!!!!! LOL
It was 112 today with a heat index of 122 because the humidity is up - so no sympathy for you.
Since you made me jealous with that great ride, I thought I'd make you jealous about the weather, LOL.
What FUN!!!!!
I love those old cars.
I do have to say that was a blast and being the center of attention was pretty nice also. (OK, maybe it was the car, but I was in it!)
