OK, I love this park. The Autumn Ridge Park in the Tanasbourne East Neighborhood of Beaverton, Oregon has almost everything a family could want in a park! It has walking trails, slides, swings, basketball courts, picnic tables, drinking fountains, a horseshoe pit and now for the big one that I think I’ve only seen in one other Beaverton Park, a bathroom!!!

Now, a bathroom may not seem like a big thing to you, but if you are a parent to a young child or grandchild, then you know exactly why bathrooms are so important. I have cut many a fun park visit short in the past which really is a shame when you have such a good park system as the Beaverton and the Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation department does.

If you are in the neighborhood and looking for a great little park for your kids to get some wiggles out, then I suggest you check out Autumn Ridge Park in the Tanasbourne East Neighborhood because I do have to say it is one of the best ones Beaverton has to offer!

Todd,
And it isn't even autumn on the ridge in the park yet.
Good Morning Todd
Thanks for the very nice localism post and personal touch. Have a great day.
Todd, I spend a lot of time in the park and I know exactly what you mean about having a bathroom there!
Looks like fun. I miss the Northwest.
Great public information. I had one of those little girls who 'had to go' as soon as we got anywhere. We knew every public restroom on the east coast!
Todd,
I'm so relived that as I scolded down you didn't photo the bathroom.
Bill
It does look like a wonderful park. I hope you and your family enjoy it often.

Great park! I love local spots like this, but your kids probably appreciate them the most!
When the boys were small, we spent A LOT of time in local parks and enjoyed what they had to offer...Especially the bathroom facilities! The Autumn Ridge Park looks like a great place to visit Todd!
You always do such a nice job showcasing the local amenities in Beaverton, OR, Todd. This post was no exception.
I can so relate... A little over ten years ago when my youngest 3 were 6, 10, 11 we loved going to parks. I knew them all. Which ones had swings, basketball hoops, bathrooms!, and slides. It was important to have fun places to go that were close by too. Renton's Liberty Park was one of our favorites because the library was there and the Cedar River runs along side it and you can walk all the way to Lake Washington and stop by a few other parks along the way. We had some great times hanging out there.
what's that your son is wearing - a Red Sox cap? who knew?
Nope Jeff, that would be a SL Cardinals hat, I'm the one wearing the Boston Red Socks hat behind the camera. (I'm the smarter of the two of us - lol)
