Tualatin Hills Nature Park & Interpretive Center (Another reason to relocate to Beaverton, Oregon)

Tualatin Hills Nature Park and Interpretive Center is a 220 acre wildlife preserve in Beaverton, Oregon and one of the only drawbacks to this park is that you can't bring dogs. Kids even love it despite it not having any playground equipment.

This park has so much to see and touch that boredom just never hits. This park had trail after trail and is such a large park it really does require a map if you ever want to get back to your car.

The park is always having classes at the interpretive center, like the one coming up on November 3rd, 2007 - NEWT DAY! It is being held from 11am-2pm and while there is normally no admission to the park, for the Newt day event they are asking for a $1 donation or two cans of food per person. The event will feature exhibits, crafts, live newts, and more!

Just some of the sightings of wildlife in the park according to the recent sightings board in the interpretive center include such wildlife as Turkey Vulture, Wood Ducks, Green Heron, Woodpecker, Bald Eagle, Mink, Deer, Kinglet and even a coyote.

Jennifer - It would be well worth the trip for you!

Marlene - It will take us 3 or 4 trips to see it all. But, with Oregon winters being so wet it may be spring before we get to see it all.
