Over the past two months I've received some strange feedback on one of my listings. I've also seen similar things on other listings of mine, but this one has gotten the most. I just don't understand why agents would want to be a taxi service to a buyer. Read the feedback from below and tell me if you think these agents are being taxi drivers or agents? With gas prices what they are today, I certainly wouldn't be doing extra stops or driving 60 miles roundtrip out of my way to show a listing that I know they will never buy.

Do you see what I mean? Tell me, are there any agents out there that would still do this to get a buyer? Not in this market with gas prices what they are! I would tell these buyers that its time to find a new agent if you are only going to be looking at things that you have no desire to buy.

What if there was a way you could search the MLS for FREE just like Realtors
Now you can access the MLS using similar tools as Realtors. You are in control of what you want to search for, and you can search the MLS at your leisure. The information you submit in the form below can also be used to put you on an automated system where you'll be emailed all homes that meet your search criteria. You'll get internet access to a website that includes pictures, prices, and addresses to real estate that's listed in the MLS!

Honestly I do not drive any of my buyers to any listing, EVER! There are several reason why I do not. For 4 years of being in the business, so still new, I made a choice to meet people at listening. I also limit the listings and try to do more or a trip route so that we can meet them in the best order.
The reason I do not want people in my vehicle are simple and somewhat selfish. I smoke clove cigs, and I do not want to offend others. If there is an emergency we can all go our own ways with out having to drive back to the office. Insurance liability issues too, even though I carry a huge policy, I just do not want to deal with it. Right or Wrong , that is how I do it. Do think anyone is going to convince me to change, though i have had 4 years of opinions and that is fine.
Interesting Timothy. I find it easier to judge them by having them in my car. I can also control the tempo and talk. Yes feedback has been weird for some time now.
For us,
we spend a good deal of time interviewing the buyer...AFTER they have been to a lender....drive 50 miles...I don't think so...we had a recent past client want to see a ton of stuff we knew that they would never buy 2 counties away....sometimes you just have to say "no" and know that may mean "bye bye".
Especially bad in Florida - I refer those clients to other agents in my office.
Often I will see buyers who are "just filling time" sometimes it is hard to pinpoint them but your point is well taken...
your friend in Charlottesville!
Am I missing something? I couldn't find the feedback you are referring to. But I will say that NOTHING surprises me anymore...
