Oh, what a fun event this was! I held a small get together with friends, family and past clients from this last year that had kids. We all got together to carve pumpkins, decorate cookies, and eat BBQ Hot dogs and homemade chili.
It was a wonderful night and fun was had by all. I think next year, I'm going to make it even bigger and invite even more people because it truly was a blast. However, since I did it more on the spur of the moment it was a little harder to plan for much larger than I had.
Here are some photos from the night and I have to say thank you to Mother Nature for working out and making the night dry!

Todd: This sounds like such a fun evening to spend with the kids. I miss things like that... with my daughter being 36 now. Have fun, and take lots of pictures. Just don't take the Easter Bunny with you. LOL
By the way... I am not sure if those falls that I noticed before the blog post came up... were new for you. What falls are those ? And... how boug making an entire post about them ? Gorgeous.
what a great idea - where did you hold this event? Love the fire at the end of the night - great fall get together
Karen - The fall pictues were taken last year and I may just do a post on those.
Good evening Thesa, -That was held my parents house. It has been in the family since the 1970s, but they just bought it out of the trust.
It is one of the most amazing properties in the Portland area. My mom is an ex Kindergarten teacher and she wants an event there every month with lots of kids around. The event was already planned, we just moved the location upon them buying this property.
So, I gave her this idea and she said invite all your clients, lets go for it!.
Todd - That looks like FUN! The carvings look great. We haved carved ours yet... it's almost too late now! ~Rita
That's a fantastic idea. We've done client appreciation parties before, but I like this idea A LOT!! Looks like everyone had a great time!
This looks like you had so much fun. What a great idea. Very creative pumpkins you had.
I have never seen this done before as a client appreciation party, I love the idea. It also looks like the location you used was fabulous. Happy Halloween!
Sounds like a terrific event for all involved. Thanks for sharing.
What fun! Reminds me - We used to have Christmas cookie decorating parties when our kids were young, actually the 'big kids' enjoyed it too. Everybody got to take their cookies home to share. We had contests for little prizes, we made up the categories as we went along so that every kid won a first place ribbon and a toy. My brother in law would stand behind a child who hadn't won yet, then my sister would make up a category to fit whatever little mess was on the kid's cookie plate. Ah, good times!
What a fun time! Great photos and great post!
Great pictures! Look like you had a great time carving pumpkins.
Todd what an awesome way to show appreciation to your clients. Loved it!
Todd
Sounds like a good time. happy Halloween to you!
Sincerely

I love stuff like this. Just spent the last week helping my 5 year old do a halloween project for her school. So awesome. Great pics.
TC,
What'd you do with the old straw??? Thanks, Fran
Todd - what a great idea! Thanks for sharing. I have been searching for a great idea for friends and family. Now I have it. Too bad I need to wait until next year.
What a great idea Todd! We have a cookie exchange every year at my office....maybe next year we can do this too!!
Rita - Maybe not, ours turned out to be carved too early.
Christine - The robot was really awesome, she is a designer by trade, so it really showed oh hers.
Janna - Try it next year, I know your clients will love it!
Bob or Carolin - It was a blast and I plan to do it every year now, next year bigger and better!
Virginia - We are planning the Christmas one also now as this one was so much fun!
Maria - Thanks and it really was a fun time for everyone.
Carol - We certainly did!
Kris - I love kids and this was just another way to show that and it really showed the parents of these kids that they weren't forgotten in this move.
Tom - Hope you had a good Halloween and congrats on your latest accomplishment in the rain that I saw the other day.
Larry - My mom was a kindergarten teacher and that is where we got the idea for this.
Fran - We are building a private park at the bottom part of the property and we laid it out down there to make the shore to the river stronger.
Todd - This is a great one and a Christmas one like mentioned above is another one. Kids love and parents remember it.
Mandi - Forget exchanging with co-workers, get the clients involved!
